At Bliss, it is always our main policy to create a relaxing experience for our clients. But we do have a few other Terms and Conditions you may want to take note of.
All treatment times include consultation, treatment and preparation time. To ensure you gain the most out of your appointment we advise that you arrive a few minutes prior to your allotted time - to relax, have a refreshing drink and forget about the stresses of the outside world. If you are running late for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.
For specific appointment requests, we suggest you book 2-3 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. Evenings and weekends are our busiest times, also summer and Christmas are our busiest seasons - So we recommend advance bookings for these periods
All new clients will be requested to complete client or consultation cards requesting health and allergy information before our therapists can perform any treatments on you - So please arrive a few minutes early to fill these out. They are kept in accordance with data protection and will not be shared with anyone outside Bliss Nails and Beauty Ltd.
Our policy is to request pre-payment for the first treatment to ensure the booking.
A deposit is required at the time of booking for treatments lasting more than 2 hours, this is non-refundable should you cancel the appointment with less than 24 hour’s notice, or fail to attend.
We understand that sometimes events can be out of our control, but if you need to cancel or re-arrange your appointment, we require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice by email or telephone. A 50% charge will be payable for missed appointments where we have not received notification. We reserve the right to request prepayment in order to secure future appointments if this occurs.
Please let your therapist know prior to your appointment if your health or skin condition has changed since your last appointment. This is so we can provide the best experience for you and provide treatment alternatives and recommendations if needed.
Although we love children at Bliss- and some of us have little ones of our own – we ask that children under the age of 12 are not brought into the salon during treatment times. We are very proud of the calm atmosphere and work hard not to disrupt this.
We also encourage clients to switch mobile phones off or to silent mode in the salon as not to disturb others.
If you are going to have a tinting or perming appointment and haven’t had this done with Bliss before, we will request that you come in at least 24 hours before your appointment in order to have a patch test.
Shellac Soak Off
Our policy is not to soak off the gel polish of other salons, this is because we cannot guarantee the polish is shellac and it may take longer to remove. We are an appointment based business, so if the polish takes longer than the allotted time to soak off then it will impact on other customer’s appointments. If you have had gel polish from another salon, but would like to have a shellac or biosculpture manicure or pedicure with us, we recommend removing it beforehand. (You can purchase soak off products from us directly or from Boots)
Nail repairs are free of charge if returning within 7 days of first application.
Young Adult Treatments
Bliss do have our range of treatments available to young adults, however there are specific policies on certain treatments depending on age:
We understand that our teen years sometimes require waxing and beauty treatments to improve confidence and make those P.E lessons a little easier. But we request that all clients under 16 must come with a parent or legal guardian, sign a disclaimer form and that guardian accompany them into the treatment room. We do not offer any form of waxing to anyone under the age of 11.
We do not carry out Brazilian or Hollywood Waxing on anyone under 16 years of age. Anyone under the age of 18 must have permission and bring a parent or legal guardian.
Written permission is required from the Client’s GP in order to treat anyone under the age of 18.
Anyone between the ages of 16 to 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian may be asked to be present in the room.
We do not offer massages to anyone under the age of 16.
Our therapists reserve the right to refuse any treatments they feel are unsuitable despite parental or guardian presence.
Therapist/ Staff Illness
Unfortunately, illness and emergencies happen to us as well, and on very rare occasions we may have to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to therapist/staff illness and emergency. We will notify you as soon as possible if this were to happen and re-arrange your appointment if needed.
